iPod Reset: The iPod Blues  :- (

I was using my iPod recently while walking and one of my favourite songs just started play. As I went to increase the volume I pressed the next button by mistake and my iPod just froze and locked up!  Frustrated, I tried to get it going again without much luck.  I called some friends with iPods and they told me about some of their own experiences and how icons appeared on their iPod screens when they had problems such as:

• a sad looking iPod face
• an exclamation point on a folder
• an exclamation point on a battery
• a disk with al sorts of icons
• an apple logo
• do not disconnect
• a power adapter plugging into the wall

Some of my friends who love technical hacks, said I would have to open up my iPod to fix the hard drive. But this would void the warranty and I didn't want to play around with hacking tricks to try and fix my iPod problems. In fact I would not advise anyone to do that unless they were technically competent and could afford to void their warranty!

Remember you are not the only one to have experienced an iPod freeze.  A quick search on Google about this type of problem didn't return much so this site was born to help those that have problems with their iPod and want some tips when a simple iPod reset doesn't fix the problem.
